Visiting Patagonia has alway been a dream of mine. I think there is something about the less traveled parts of the world that draw me to them. Patagonia for lack of a better word is big. It is expansive in every way. The sky opens up over golden scrub land. The wind howls here, cold as it rolls of the glaciers. It bites to the bone and cleanses the soul. The mountains are sharp and rugged, the peaks inaccessible without technical gear. It is a wild land. I feel like the word wild gets thrown around a lot. There are few places I have visited that I would call truely wild; the deserts of the American southwest being one of them. Patagonia is a whole other beast though. I’m looking forward to the next few weeks here. From what I’ve seen so far this will be a trip of a lifetime.
